Enrichment at Booth Wood Academy

At Booth Wood Academy, enrichment is a key part of every child’s learning journey. We are proud to offer a wide range of activities designed to inspire, challenge, and broaden pupils’ horizons.

Experiences Beyond the Classroom
Each year, pupils enjoy school trips that link directly to their learning. Children in Years 3–4 and Years 5–6 have the exciting opportunity to attend residential visits, creating lasting memories and developing independence. Our pupils also take part in local and national sports events, fostering teamwork, resilience, and a love of physical activity.

Creative and Performing Arts
Our enrichment programme extends to the arts, providing pupils with opportunities to explore their creativity. Children take part in performance poetry competitions, visit theatres, and even perform alongside members of the Royal Opera House at regional events.

Clubs and Leadership Opportunities
Within school, we offer a variety of free clubs during the school day, as well as pupil leadership programmes that help children build confidence and develop important skills for life. Additionally, pupils can choose from paid enrichment activities, such as music lessons (private or group), drama sessions, sports coaching, and much more.
